Spin a rectangular coil of N turns and area A in a uniform field B. The flux linkage NΦ = NBA cos ωt rises and falls as the loop's normal sweeps past B, and Faraday's law gives a sinusoidal EMF ε = NBAω sin ωt. Vary ω, B, N and A to reshape the wave on the scope.
